Today, Microsoft announced that the Kinect hardware will retail for $150 when it’s released on November 4, and will include a copy of Kinect Adventures. But that ain’t all that’s going on with Microsoft, kids. The Redmond office ALSO revealed a new version of the Xbox 360 that will hit stores on August 3 for $200.
“What exactly am I getting for Two Hundo?” you ask.
Well…
The new Xbox 360 will feature 4GB of flash storage and will follow the recently released Slim’s styling, but with a shiny new coat. With the ability to store and save games on USB sticks and WiFi capability, sites are dubbing it the “most able entry-level 360 ever released”. The $200 sticker price is doing it no harm, either, ESPECIALLY for those 'non-Xbox’ owners who are thinking of defecting or just outright wanting a 2nd, 3rd, or 8th console to add to their game room.
Later this year, a bundle that will include the new 4GB 360 hardware, the Kinect hardware, and a copy of Kinect Adventures will be available for $300 to entice new gamers. But that’s not all, you’ll ALSO receive “a token to download three exclusive game levels for Kinect Adventures, the game included with Kinect”, at launch when you preorder any of these bundles.
Kinectimals, Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride will retail for $49.99 when they’re launched alongside the hardware.
I, myself, am hesitant to spend $150 on the Kinect hardware until a hardcore game like Gears of War finds a home with Kinect. Cute is cute, but I want blood and swearing.
But I’m not above buying the bundle just so my own Xbox, Shaft, has a new friend. I mean, it’s only 50 dollars more.

"Cute is cute, but I want blood and swearing." I heart you.
any word on when the bundle will be available? about to buy the new 360, but willing to wait a few weeks if needed to get the kinect bundle deal...cheers
The official word is "Holidays 2010" - you can pre-order them through game retailers now, though, if you want to avoid the psycho shopping moms at Christmas.
