MySims Agents

During my recent tour of EA’s Redwood Shores Studio, I was given a look at another new Sims offering: MySims Agents.

After watching the brief opening scene, we were thrown into the adventurous world of MySims Agents. We start off as a neighborhood detective, solving community mysteries from your locals, to eventually be hired on at the Sims Protection Agency. After performing satisfactory missions, Agent Walker from the agency hires you on and gives you your own headquarters to recruit, hire, fire and build a team of agents to help you solve cases throughout. Your BFF, Buddy, a comic book artist joins your agency as your sketch artist and sidekick. Employing 12 agents at a time, they will keep in contact with you throughout your mystery solving to update or ask questions. You can ignore your team of helpers, or answer promptly. Each agent has their own unique personality. Scrolling over them will tell you their interests and a small back story on them, including their attributes like “Smarts+3” and “Charisma+1.”

If your team is not successful, there are numerous ways to build your team for better results.

As you delve deeper, you find your goal is to stop the corrupt Morcubus (CEO of MorcuCorp) from finding the “object of great power.” If fallen into Morcubus’ hands, his plans to take over the world will be complete. Players will be able to track footprints and hack into computers, along with new jumping and balancing skills and even get your own private jet! You’ll be able to check out the spooky mansion and see the awesome zombie butler, along with other exotic locations and find treasures to compliment your headquarters with. The game logs everything on a notepad for the busy players that have to put the game away for more than weeks at a time. Opening your case book and checking out your different leads will help set you on the right path to solving your mystery.

There are several outfits with different shirts, bottoms, shoes and hats with even more to unlock. There are close to 60 non-playable characters and animals that surround the world for interacting with. Mini games are unlocked, then show up on your arcade machine back at your headquarters, but are still mystery themed.

I’ve never played the Sims universe, but out of everything I saw, this was my favorite game. It was adorable to look at and my cup of mystery solving tea. Yes there is such a thing! You can check out MySims Agents this week! It is rated E for Everyone on Wii and DS.

I love these games! I have MySims and MySims Kingdom. I will probably get this one when they price drops down to
poor college kid price.
