Mega Blocks has officially launched their 2012 edition of the Halo Toymation Contest.
Toymation Contest allows fans to create their own homemade animation videos using Mega Blocks and since the toy company launched their Halo line just in time for the release of Halo 4, they’re holding a contest for fans to make their own videos containing all the Halo epicness you can fit into a building block.

Mega Bloks has some awesome prizes for those who compete and win the contest including a MacBook Pro, Canon DSLR camera, the entire 2012 collection of the Halo edition Mega Bloks and SO much more.
There are ways where you wonderful readers and Halo maniacs can get involved: Vote for your favorite videos, share them with friends or fellow gamers, and if you’re feeling brave enough (like when you played ‘The Library’ on Legendary by yourself), make your own video.
Mega Bloks hosted a Toymation contest in 2011 which was so successful, the company decided to put together another contest for 2012.
This year, Mega Bloks is bringing in a genre format to add something unique to the contest.
Action: Films focusing on combat scenes (i.e. throwing stickies, sneaky melee attacks, and all-around killtacular moments).
Comedy: Films that lessen the more intense moments of the Halo universe…..maybe filming Master Chief and Johnson driving over a hill in a Warthog with Johnson yelling, “This thing got 8-track?!” Just a thought.
Drama: Creating a more narrative and serious approach to the saga.
Classical: Black and White, silent film, etc.
Sports: Because everyone loves watching a good game of Capture the Flag or Griffball.

The videos need to be between 1 to 3 minutes long. Each contestant can enter a maximum of ONE VIDEO PER CATEGORY and each video must be different, so don’t try creating a silent movie of a Griffball tournament. Besides, where’s the fun in that?
The contest is open to individuals ages 13 and up. It will also be open to residents living in the United States, Canada, the UK, Mexico, France, or Australia.
