Mediajuice Studios, an entertainment industry veteran in producing award winning trailers & television campaigns (for brands like Star Wars, Spider Man and X-Men) have announced that Jeremy Snead has launched a new film project about video game history, culture and economics.
Starting with last month’s E3 Expo, Snead and his crew began interviewing loads of industry insiders such as Warren Spector and Ono-San (Street Fighter). Currently shooting interviews around the world for the next 7 months, they’ll be heading to San Diego next week to interview several celebrity gamers (like Zachary Levi and Felicia Day) at San Diego Comic Con.
Snead stresses the goal is to focus the documentary on the personal side of the industry and going wherever they need to go to capture the inside stories by interviewing veterans of classic gaming and a “who’s who” of game publishers & devs.
When asked how this came about, Snead said:
Jeremy and his team at Mediajuice plan to release behind the scenes video clips throughout the filming of the documentary and post to the film’s Facebook and Twitter pages as well as their crowd-sourcing page on IndieGogo.
They’ve also stressed that whether they reach our final budget goal of $100K+ or not, all of the funds will go toward the making of the film…there’s also a chance for YOU to be in the film, too!
