I hear there’s talk about Signal Studio’s new third person action RPG, Ascend: New Gods over at E3 and from what I have seen so far, it’s going to be a fantastic upcoming release, with the potential to be epic.
This title brings a whole new style of gameplay called “parallel multiplayer”. This allows the individual user to play their own private single player levels, while also impacting others over Xbox LIVE.
Multiplayer integration is the star topic when it comes to this game. Impact other players’ personal levels by sending a blessing or a curse. Even sacrifice your own character to create a boss for someone else to fight.
In this game, the user controls a giant warrior, called a “Chaos”. This race was created to pledge loyalty to a deity of the player’s choice, and therefore spreading the chosen god’s influence through the land by way of your actions in battle.
These warriors can choose to follow one of three gods: the god of light, darkness, or void.
As the game progresses, your Chaos will demolish enemies, such as the enormous Titans, who would otherwise plunder and destroy the villages you seek to protect.
Giant vs. even larger giant = awesome.
