For those of you who didn’t receive the email, a few days ago hardware manufacturer, EVGA, announced the all new GTX 690 graphics card.

The GTX 690 supplies the most supreme, top of the line gaming graphics ever seen and is both DirectX 11 and 3D Compatible. The card blew away its predecessor, the GTX 680, with over a 90% increase in performance!
Here, have a look for yourself:
3072 CUDA Cores
Base Clock: 915 MHz
Boost Clock: 1019 MHz
Quad Nvidia SLI Ready
Memory Detail: 4096 MB GDDR5
Memory Clock: 6008 MHz
Max Refresh Rate: 240 HGz
Max Resolution: 2560×1600
Key Features: NVIDIA GPU Boost, Adaptive Vertical Sync, SMX Engine, CUDA & PhysX technology, and loads more.
In other words, this card is beyond beastly. It’s just plain out godly!
So now you might ask yourself, “well what’s a card like that going to cost me?” If you’re not willing to give up an arm or leg then you’ll have to dish out a whopping $1,049.99 (which use to be $1,000 as of three days ago, not sure why they increased the price.) Included in the price you do get a three year warranty as well as a nifty little gift bag of EVGA goodies filled with stickers, a mouse pad, and a shirt!
So if you’re willing to break your bank to get your hands on one of these monsters, then you still may need to wait. It seems EVGA are already sold out, and are only selling 1 per household. Just think of all those bragging rights though if you had one!
You can check out the new GTX 690 here at the official EVGA website.

1 year agoWOW. That is awesome. I just cried a tear of joy. I may just get a windows desktop this year for GW2, as my macbook pro isn't meant for high end gaming. Man, that's cool.
