Kristen Nedopak (along with about 10 million of her closest friends) drank the Skyrim kool-aid and found herself not only obsessed with the game but incensed by her idiot of a companion, Lydia.
“See, this is why I don’t play video games as much as I want to… once I start, I can’t put them down! Thus, how my obsession with SKYRIM began. I heard about it when it was first released, but when the boys at Think Hero showed me the trailer, I HAD to play! I made myself into a High Elf (with red hair, of course) and spent like 8 hours a night slaying dragons.
Then I met Lydia. Wow, how cool it was to have a companion, right?
Though she does a great job of kicking everyone’s ass in sight and carrying my goods, she gets in my way more often than not and constantly dies; took me 3 hours to get out of a Dwarven city because of her! After screaming at the TV I don’t know how many times, I began to tweet about this and would get 10 responses to each Lydia tweet from people frustrated with the same thing. So I decided to make a fan video about it. It’s an ode to Lydia and my love/hate relationship with her and for the fans who feel my pain.
I make costumes for all of my films and of course I was super excited to make these!
I made all of the armor out of foam covered in duct tape then painted black. Once that dried, I sprayed silver paint onto a sponge and rubbed it over the relief areas, giving it an aged look.
The leather pieces were made from leather cloth and thumb tacks. They make great metal bolts! The fur was dirtied with brown stain so it looked weathered from battle.
My boyfriend, Dane (also an amazing costume dude) made me the helmet. Again, duct tape and paint!”
THIS.
I pulled these images from Kristen’s Facebook but if you wanna see them more in-depth, click here.

This is beyond awesome, and that chick even looks like Lydia!

Totally love this and retweeted it last night when I saw it on Twitter. Lydia, oh Lydia, I wish I could get ridda ya.
I cannot stop laughing. I shared this link like a dozen times lol. Soo true!
Awww! This was so badass! And poor Lydia, though i love you to death you need to realize what the word Companion means...it means you cant do what Dovakiin can do..
