Street Fighter X Tekken has satisfied the needs of both Street Fighter and Tekken players by using the fighting engine from Street Fighter IV with brand new gameplay mechanics. They have brought a new ways to customize, stratigize and enhance the fighting experience with the innovative Gem system.
Have your ‘too good to be true’ match up by combining the powers of your favorite character from Street Fighter with your favorite character from Tekken. There are tons to choose from and that list includes; Rolento, Zangief, Cammy, Sagat, Hugo, Ibuki, Poison, Dhalsim, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Abel, Balrog, Juri, Vega and Chun-Li from Street Fighter as well as Heihachi, Lili, Julia, Hwoarang, Raven, Kuma, Yoshimitsu, Steve, Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, Bob, Law, Paul and Xiaoyu from Tekken.
The Juggle System – The Juggle System is the air launching tactic for Street Fighter X Tekken that allows you to toss your foes into Tekken-style juggles.
Cross Assault – Allows players to attack with both of their characters at the same time by using the Cross Gauge.
Super Art – Ryu’s famed Shinku Hadoken, Kazuya’s Devil Beam as well as the Tekken characters all have original Super Art techniques. This is all done by using the Cross Gauge.
You can’t go out challenging just anybody without having some time to train. With new gameplay mechanics, come new fighting modes.
Briefing Room – There is now an option to train online with your friends in the Briefing Room mode! This way your friends can help you figure out the best way to switch between characters strategically.
Scramble Mode – Grab three of your friends, online or offline, for the ultimate battle royale in the new Scramble Mode.
Pandora Mode – Sacrifice yourself in battle to give your partner a short, but powerful, boost in strength.
A few of you are probably still wondering, “What is the Gem system is all about?” It helps you customize and enhances your characters, but how?
There are a total of 57 Gems (5 Assist and 52 Boost) come standard in the game and you will then have the ability to equip three different Gems to improve upon weaknesses or capitalize on strengths.
