First developed for the iPhone and PC, the musical world of Auditorium returns with twice the content as the original. Not only does it offer the experience in HD, Auditorium caters to those with the Move controllers and also a 3D TV. Don’t have any of these toys? Don’t worry – you can just as easily take on this game with the regular PS3 controller.

The controls, like the premise, are fairly simple – you have a varying number of directions to control a musical flow. When that flow touches the bars of the same color, a corresponding melody or harmony plays. Using the directions, i.e. up, down, left, right, etc. the trick is to get the flow moving to ALL the colored bars in unison, therefore playing a complete song.

That’s pretty much it.

The challenges are all the same, except you might have more colors to direct or different directions to use. If you enjoy this musical challenge, there are a ton of songs to unlock and keep it going for a long time. If you bore easily, however, or you slept through orchestra or choir class, Auditorium may not be for you.

This game is great for:

-kids, especially those who are learning to play an instrument
-aspiring classical composers
-anyone who loves music and puzzles

Although simple, Auditorium is not necessarily easy. I breezed through a handful of challenges in about 20 minutes, but I eat hard mode puzzles for breakfast and a Rubix Cube for lunch. That’s just me. I think that entire families could have a fun and relaxing time giving this game a go.
