Following closely to the film, the game takes us through the new Wonderland where we must face off with the many minions of the Red Queen, the Jabberwocky, and the Red Queen herself. Throughout the game, we come across many familiar and new characters that will join in on the quest to save Wonderland or provide vital information and clues to keep the story flowing.

There isn’t much to say about this game, except that it is quite “wonderful” that the game developers managed to keep and portray the essence of the film and that of Tim Burton. His wacky, fun, yet dark influences that he manages to keep throughout his films have successfully transferred into the game.
The moment you take control of the White Rabbit after Alice has fallen down the hole this game has his signature creativity all over it.

Character interactions and cinema takes were very well done and a nice surprise since in my experience these two elements of games based on films has always been neglected and done quite shoddily.
Gameplay consists of the use of the Wii Remote and Wii Nunchuck to navigate through the game as well as execute battle maneuvers.

Although certainly not a genre I dip into very often, Alice in Wonderland has certain uniqueness to it and is able to draw in players – whether they are casual or hardcore gamers. Sometimes it is nice to take a step back from the more action packed and fast paced games and have one that is relaxing yet stimulates your mind.

The only thing I would change about the game would be the camera movement controls. You can adjust the camera – but only to wrench it to adjust where you are facing. It is not that it isn’t easy to control, but rather I would have preferred having “more” control over where I looked and the angle of it.

But this is said as a more experienced gamer. For those who may just have started gaming or for young children, I can understand why the camera movement was simplified.

Overall, the game is enjoyable and relaxing. It isn’t something that I would normally have played, but am very glad I did.
