While speaking at Microsoft's press conference at GamesCom, Peter Molyneux announced a third installment to the beloved series, and talked about how the new game's story will be “new, fresh, and different.” One comment he made that caught the ears of people at the conference was one regarding RPGs similar to Fable and what he thinks is their flaws. "I think there's something fundamentally wrong with RPGs like Fable... It's a mechanic that's been there since the eighties. I'm going to take that foundation stone and throw it away."
