In The Lost and Damned, you play as Johnny Klebitz, a veteran member of the Lost Motorcycle Club in Liberty City. When the biker club’s leader, Billy Grey, comes back from a stint in prison, he has the taste of blood in his mouth and is determined to go cause as much bloodshed as possible. It is up to Johnny to keep things in check and not let Billy drive the gang into oblivion.

This DLC brings so much new gameplay to GTA 4, that at times it seems like a whole new game. The new storyline occasionally intertwines with the original story of GTA 4, and sometimes you will find yourself playing a mission you have played before — but on the other side of the fence. With six new weapons like a grenade launcher and a sawed-off shotgun, 17 new bikes, improved bike handling and physics, three new vehicles, and five new achievements, “The Lost and Damned” is a must. The DLC also offers side missions such as races, gang wars, and random people encounters.

For those of you who are looking for more online play, there are five new online modes to play: Races, Gang Wars, Witness Protection, Club Business, and Lone Wolf Biker.
• Races: Race against other players online on the new bikes included in “The Lost and Damned.”

• Gang Wars: Team-based mode where you must take over as much rival territory as possible within a set time limit.

• Witness Protection: Team-based mode where you choose to be part of the N.O.O.S.E or the Lost. The N.O.O.S.E must drop off inmates to different police stations while the Lost try to take out the bus full of inmates and stop them from getting to their destinations.

• Club Business: Play co-operatively or competitively to prove you are the leader of the pack by completing missions and activities to become powerful enough to take over the gang.

• Lone Wolf Biker: One player must reach the end of a race by going through a series of checkpoints that only he can see while the rest of the players try to do everything possible to stop him. If the Lone Wolf gets taken out before reaching his destination, then the player who defeated him takes over as the Lone Wolf. There are two different modes that this game can be played in: – Full Throttle: Play as the hunter or as the hunted as one tries to make motorcycle checkpoints while trying to avoid being attacked by the other players. – Chopper vs. Chopper: As one player is on a bike trying to make checkpoints on the ground, another player is giving chase while in a helicopter and is trying to take out the bike racer by using explosive rounds.

All in all, this is the best $20 spent as far as DLC packs go. “The Lost and Damned” is a perfect reason to get back into GTA, even if you didn’t want to. Rockstar really set the bar high with this DLC, and I hope other game developers take notice in the amount of game that was given and the effort that was put into making this a great buy.
