Daddy's Girl - Did Bioshock 2 Sink or Swim?

If you didn’t get enough from the first Bioshock, then buckle up because Bioshock 2 is gonna take you on a ride. Right from the get-go, the game gives you a taste of cinematic footage as well as combat. Unlike some games, these clips are quick, to the point, and important to the storyline. When it comes to the UI (user interface), many things look similar to its prequel including the menu screen, physics, controls, and most of the visuals.

Remember that ride I was talking about? It’s a ride down memory lane! (Visually speaking, that is.) The environment, although “new,” feels the same as the first game. This time around, you’re no hopeless human – you get to step right into the shoes of Mr. Big Daddy, himself.

Not only that, but you can wield a weapon AND a plasmid at the same time…easy? Think again.

I was disappointed at how similar the environment was to the first game. There really wasn't anything new or memorable here for me, aside from experiencing the world as a Little Sister. Who's idea was that? Insane, beautiful, genius!

I love the dual-wield with plasmids and weapons in this game. A fist full of lightning in one hand and a Rocket Launcher in the other? Big Sister please, you got no hope.

Sadly, I didn't have enough time to play all the endings. I know from the first there were the two, and I sort of thought there may be a neutral ending, but I couldn't confirm it. So, this review is based off like one play through :P

Just a quick note, you state in the summary that there are only two outcomes. Technically there are three. There's one for saving all little sisters and sparing all the NPC's (plus or minus one NPC or Little Sister), there's one for harvesting all Little Sisters and killing all NPC's (plus or minus one) and then there's the neutral for sparing/killing all Little Sisters and then doing the opposite for the NPC's.

So there are three endings, but either way not much difference overall.
