Assassin's Creed 2 Debut Trailer

Ubisoft has just released their second trailer for the upcoming title Assassin’s Creed 2.

Unfortunately the video is a complete tease, lacking footage of gameplay or Ezio. Hopefully the third times a charm and we’ll get an opportunity to get a real good look at the game. In the meantime, here are some details on Assassin’s Creed 2 taken from the latest issue of Game Informer Magazine:

• The game opens in 1476, Altair is from 1191.
• Players take the role of Ezio Auditore de Firenze, a new ancestor of Altair/Desmond.
• Ezio is a nobleman of Florence.
• Big characters in the game include Machiavelli, Caterina Sofrza, and Lorenzo de Medici.
• Brand new weapons including axes, hammers, maces, spears, swords etc.,
• Each weapon has a special move.
• Players can disarm enemies and use their weapons against them.
• Players can swim.
• Locations include Saint Marks Basilica, The Grand Canal, The Little Canal, and the Rialto bridge.
• Da Vinci’s workshop is in the game.
• Assassin’s Creed 2 features a new notoriety system that governs how soldiers and people treat you.
• The game features 16 unique missions.
• Ease dropping and pick pocketing missions has been eliminated.
• You can still climb towers and ride horses.
• There are night and day sequences in the game.
