With what will be the first themed Rock Band edition ever, The Beatles: Rock Band will be released this September. This is really significant for a few reasons, one of which is that Apple Corp, who own the licensing rights to the Beatles, NEVER EVER licenses out beyond the normal types of use.
Featuring a song catalog that spans the entire history of the Beatles, the game will be released on September 9th, 2009 for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Playstation 3. Gameplay will be the same as with regular Rock Band, but the $249.99 premium full kit bundle will have each instrument resembling the actual ones used by the Beatles. The game will also be available as $59.99 game-only and $99.99 Game + Guitar versions.

I've got mixed feeling about it. I have mad respect for Rock Band getting the rights to the Beatles (actual rock music) instead of some teeny-pop dribble. At the same time, I played GH: Aerosmith and found it terribly boring. Too much Aerosmith. Hopefully they'll throw enough stuff in to mix it up.

3 years, 1 month agoIf you are a Beatles fan it's awesome which I am, sort of like GH Aerosmith I didn't bother but GH Metallica I am loving! so I am so excited about this game and can't wait.. I am such a RB fan as well I am considering shelling out the 250 for all the instruments again..we'll see.. If only the guitar changed then I'll get that bundle.
