Hi!
I have been an avid PC enthusiast since I was 4 years old, seldomly checking out the console (due to lack of good titles and I love multiplayer<3). I have a pretty normal real life and online I have tons of friends, both male and female, but my real question is why are these girls so shy IRL, or rather why aren't they more open about being a gamer/into computers?
P.S. I haven't found any in Florida :(
To be honest in real life I haven't run across any shy girl gamers ( don't really know any directly though to be honest). They're either not or they just don't talk about it because they're not prompted by anyone. My co workers and friends know I'm a gamer because I'm a computer nerd, so aside from building systems, videos and playing with websites they also know I like to play my large library of games. :P

That's too funny, I'm a programmer myself so a majority of my friends and colleagues are into computer games like Dota 2, Starcraft 2, Counter Strike: Source. I'm a total nerd ^_^
I think its because the arguements that we get. Like your a Nerd and stuff...
Some of my friends know that im playing video games because they did it to, and thats it.
I have found some girl gamers that are generally shy but are more open when gaming online but.. I've seen that on both sides of the fence(I know a lot of guys like this too). As well most girl gamers I know IRL are not shy, far from it. My wife and a lot of my friends and hers are gamers and if there was a loud person in the crowd possibly causing a ruckus, it'd be one of them lol. So I guess I can't offer much insight aside from... maybe that is the type of folk you attract or associate with?
Well at my school I was being beat up cause of I was gaming oo but I din`t really care. And later more girls stand up there to. Guess some are just afraid. But if anyone wanna play online or something with me plzzz add e on skype oo poke_puusen c:
