This semester has been busy. I broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years. I came out to my friends and family. I cut my hair off…yeah I have been busy. I am freggin happy though so it all payed off in the end. I haven’t been playing any video games lately because I have been so busy. School is ending so I can finally return to playing some 360…Im back.

So it is closing in on Thanksgiving break and a million things are due next week. I woke up Wednesday morning only to have a fever and my body hurt so bad I couldn’t move. Yes, I have that evil little flu that has been all over the news. I have been in my tiny dorm room for 3 days now and I fear I might be getting cabin fever. I have so much work I need to get done but I can’t because I need to go to the library or run random end of the semester errands.
On the bright side I beat Modern Warfare 2, and it was AMAZING! The game play and story line was totally not what I expected. The couple of missions that were in the U.S were awesome. There is nothing like shooting heavy fire arms out of a wanna be Friday’s window. I think my favorite mission was the first snow mission with the snow mobiles. I love this game, I haven’t even touch online yet. Love it.
Lesson learned- If you get H1N1 you get to stay home and play video games for a week with no consequences! Don’t get me wrong, it still sucks big time.

So it has come to my attention that when I play video games I leave his world and enter a new. My roommate informed me of this a few days ago. She said when I played fallout I didn’t talk for 4 hours and when she asked me something I only made a few syllables…no words from me! I never new I did this; I think it is kind of funny. It’s just that when I play fallout it is like I am in a trance. Anyone else experience this?
The Beatles RockBand was kind of a rip off. I didn’t by it but my fiancé did. It only has like 40 songs on it and half of them I have never heard. I didn’t really like the color schemes either because the background was light colors along with the bar gems…not an easy time distinguishing between notes and bass grooves.
Back in the real world:
School has started and it is going pretty well. Right now all of WIU has a cold and I’m just getting over it. It was one of the worst colds I think I have ever had. I am a little afraid of that whole H1N1 but Western is pretty prepared so it makes me feel better about the whole thing.
Foam parties are…interesting. If you don’t know what a foam party is, it is a dance floor covered in about 4 feet of bubbles. I thought it was fun but at the same time who knows what the two people grinding next to you are really doing under the bubbles.

So marching band is over! I am so sad though because I have nothing to do. I have decided that I want to be a different person. I don’t know if this is a phase or the real thing but I totally want to be that edgy girl with the kick ass t-shirts and awesome belts. I am not happy with myself right now, I don’t know why…but I just am. Another thing is how does one become popular on this site? I don’t know why I just asked that…I am so random right now.
So I am playing Little King’s Story on the Wii. This is an amazing game. It is like a RPG with RTS with like animal crossing kinda. The graphics are great for the Wii and it almost looks as if it is in a story book. The game has a bunch of humor throughout the game for ex. I accidentally sent one of my lil guys into the ocean and the game called me a moron.
So I really don’t know what the point of this post was…I am extremely hyper and bored right now.

So my life has started again. What does this mean? Summer is over, and the high school where I work at has band camp for two weeks. At first I was sad because I couldn’t help but miss exploring new places on fallout, playing button smashing solos, and killing all the guys who thought I couldn’t do it because I was a girl. Thanks to xbox, my summer has been amazing. Yeah, I know playing xbox 24/7 doesn’t sound like it would be amazing but when you are a music major and take 22 credit hours a semester plus extra curricular activities where you have leadership positions, sitting down and not moving for a few hours is just what one needs. I am ready to go bach (ha ha music humor) to school but I can’t help thinking I am going to miss xbox and the wonderful people I have met this summer.
So band camp has been going pretty well. I have finally been able to apply some of the knowledge I have gained over the last 2 years in my schooling but I cannot help but feel I have much more to improve on. It is hard to get the kids to do what I want them some times. The other staff (all male) does not have a problem getting them to do what they expect of them, but I try and it is ten times harder because of my sex. It really sucks that it matters and that I have to work harder to do the same thing as the guys do. I think it is because kids think of women as understanding and motherly, therefore they think they can get away with more. I think I am doing a pretty good job and they kids are starting to listen to me, but sometimes it is still a struggle.
P.S. I know my Bach joke was lame.

So I haven’t posted in awhile because of evil homework.
Last night I had one of the best (if not the best) Halo experiences of my life. I decided to ask some girls to play with me on a team. I had two other girls with me and we had a blast. Since there was more than one of us; each of us was not afraid to speak up and talk. We one most of the games and I got MVP about 4 times. The guys were really nice and everyone wanted to party up. Occasionally we would get a total jerk on our team but he heard what we had to say. I do not have a problem talking on xbl anymore but I could tell the other two did so I am glad I got them out of the shells.
One guy was calling us rude names and I asked him why he had to be so negative. He told me he was going to betray me. He started shooting at me but he never killed me. That is pretty bad when a person can’t even betray their own team mate! We had a great time messing with that guy, he only got 2 kills…I got MVP!
Don’t worry I told them about GG and they sounded excited about the site. I really want to get more GG’s gaming together like this…it is SO much fun.

Thanks to Angel_Thanatos blog, I have been inspired to right a blog about my love for my Wii. In the beginning I loved my Wii more than anything. I remember I wanted one so bad because I have always been a Nintendo girl. Now I have a different opinion…
Why did Nintendo even release a half-baked idea that is useless for anyone over 5 and under 40? I would have rather waited and paid more for a system that I can actually play. One of the biggest selling points when it first came out is that it was cheap…yeah cheaply made. The Wii is not cheep, look at all the stupid “accessories” they have out. It is like each game has a different plastic thingamabob that costs 20 dollars and serves no purpose. Then you have to get a Wii mote which is 40 dollars but to play most games you have to get the nun-chuck which is 20 dollars. Why didn’t the just put them together?
The next piece of poo is Wii fit…really? I am not going to spend 100 dollars on a thing I stand on. Then it tells me I’m fat, what a great motivator! So you get this thing and what can you do with it? As far as I know there are very little games that use the board and the ones that are out are crap. So a person spends 100 dollars on a game that is useless because you are not going to get “fit” standing on a board in front of your TV. Now they are coming out with Wii Fit plus, isn’t it the same game but with like 2 more “exercises”?
Lastly, is the Wii Motion Plus. Why am I paying for a little thing that attaches on to the wii-mote to make it due what it was suppose to do when the Wii came out? This is Nintendo telling me they sold me a crap product that needed to be researched more before they released it. I understand they want to make the system better but why can’t they put it in the wii-mote? I really don’t want another white plastic thing lying around my room.
One thing is for sure Nintendo knows how to make money. Their new slogan should be Nintendo…ripping off one family at a time.
That is my two cents on the matter, I am sorry I am so negative but I guess I had a lot of held up anger about my Wii.

So I just got done with a new map on Halo and I am excited about it. It is capture the flag. There is only one flag to capture and it is a fort, which is well supplied with everything needed to defend it. The attacking team as everything they need to attack it! I tested it out with a few strangers and they thought it was pretty fun, I just wish I had a full game going now. I also added secret sniping points on both sides for the added fun! If anyone wants to play, leave me a comment or find me on XBL.
In the real world, I say The Hangover with Ryan (husband to be) and it was HALARIOUS! I suggest anyone to go see it. I can’t wait till the 24th because I am definitely going to see Transformers. It is one of my favorite movies, my nephew can watch it non-stop and it is the only movie I can sit down with him. The never ending work for my online classes is still…never-ending. I think I should have rethought this summer school thing through a little more. I don’t want to spend 5 hours a day doing work, unless I am getting paid. Oh, well at least I am getting credits out of the way.
